A pretty face / who knows what a face is for
It is important to me that someone confirm I am not hallucinating.
The beginning of "Poor Boy" from Nick Drake's Bryter Later; the beginning of "That's English for Steal" from Patrick Phelan's Songs of Patrick Phelan; the two of them together, with the volume on the Drake slightly boosted.
A bit from the chorus of Belle & Sebastian's "I Fought in a War" from Fold Your Hands, Child, You Walk Like a Peasant; a bit from the chorus of Duran Duran's "Ordinary World".
Just about the entirety of Olivia Tremor Control's "I Have Been Floated" from Black Foliage is strongly reminiscent of something, but they're a bunch of pasticheurs anyway and such is to be expected.

I am real bad at hearing song rip offs. I am usually suprised when someone points out the similarities.
The rip-offs I didn't hear by myself even though I had a chance to include:
Rod stewart "If you think I am sexy"- Jorge Ben "taj Mahal"
"ghostbuster theme"- "I need a new drug" Hewey Lewis
"My sweet lord" - "she's so fine"
The most blatant rip-off is between David Bowie's Fame and James Brown's Hot (I Need to Be Loved, Loved, Loved). They are pretty much the same song. Even I heard that one.
