A new one

I suppose there's nothing ultimately wrong with the phrase "weigh station"; there is, after all, a difference between any old stop on the way and a stop at which trucks and other such vehicles (we might call them "weigh farers", for they carry a heavy load) are weighed. But the metaphorical potential of "weigh station" and "way station" definitely differ, and I really have to draw the line at "weigh station on the way".
Revealed: "weigh" is far more suitable than "dog" for croquemitization.
